Dec. 3–5 Near 450K: Heurich House Museum’s Christkindlmarkt

Given that Heurich House was the home of a German-American immigrant (a famed beer brewer), it makes sense that it would draw some inspiration from German culture for its annual holiday event. The Heurich House Museum’s Christkindlmarkt evokes European holiday markets with its open-air setup in the Castle Garden. It’s a fitting spot for local artisans to set up holiday booths, given that the mansion itself was built by artisans for Christian Heurich back in 1894.

More than 30 local vendors will gather in the gardens from December 3rd to the 5th with their unique, handcrafted items on display. Expect to find everything from wooden and ceramic works of art to freshly baked breads and pastries at the Christkindlmarkt. As an added bonus for 2021, the Heurich House Museum’s holiday market will also feature the re-release of one of the Christian Heurich Brewing Company’s most popular pours, the Senate Beer. There will be a mini tasting of this and other signature beers, along with a mini outdoor exhibit exploring the brewer’s history.
