Italian Fare Is a Family Affair at Quattro Osteria

Salvio and Giovanni Ippolito were born into a restaurant family in Naples. Their father owned his own eatery, where the entire family would help out when they were kids. As adults, they’ve teamed up to keep that family dream alive—Giovanni notes their mother, in particular, is elated with the venture. He says, “It’s almost more her dream than my dream.” If you want to experience the modern Italian cuisine the pair has to offer, come to the new restaurant Quattro Osteria for dinner.

The brothers put their own twist on each dish, starting with the classic recipes from their father’s restaurant and incorporating their own creativity. That creativity is evident in every section of the menu, even the insalates. Start with a salad featuring lettuce, endives, avocado, marinated lobster, and dried fruit or a simple-but-flavorful mix of fennel, anchovies, orange, and pine nuts. Ready for some antipasti? Savor the tempura-fried cod with pea puree and shaved black truffle or the deconstructed eggplant parm. Just make sure you save room for a glass of wine and an entree like the rack of lamb with saffron potato puree or the branzino in clam and mussel sauce.
