While Away a Summer Day at Georgetown Waterfront Park

There’s no better place to get out and enjoy the seasonal weather than Georgetown Waterfront Park. This newer addition to the DC-area park scene is always a local favorite, spanning the banks of the Potomac River starting at 31st Street, all the way to Key Bridge. It’s impeccably groomed with fun design elements and an unbeatable breeze coming off the water. You’ll find locals biking, running, walking, or simply soaking up the sun with a summertime picnic or a good book—you pick whatever strikes your fancy!

One of the design features you’ll want to explore is the fountain, which is the centerpiece of the entire park, located at the intersection of K Street and Wisconsin Avenue. Some will even pop in the water on a hot day! As you wander you’ll also find pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and a bio-edge retaining wall that serves as a habitat for local plant life. So pencil in a visit on the next sunny day and enjoy some time exploring and enjoying the great outdoors.
